Managing owners Mark and Jacque Cook opened Coronado Vineyards in November 2006, with the belief that the true value in wine is in its experience. Inherently, wine is created to be enjoyed by those who consume it. At Coronado Vineyards, we believe that whether your palate prefers sweeter and fruitier wines, or dry complex sophisticated wines, you only should consume wine which you enjoy. It is up to you to decide your favorite, and for that reason Coronado Vineyards creates wines distinctly for you and your individual taste. So enjoy a bottle of Coronado Vineyards’ wine with someone you find extraordinary, because we believe that every day is a special occasion.

Kief-Joshua Vineyards is a small family business with 20 acres in beautiful Elgin and 40 acres in Willcox Wine Country. Our Elgin winery is situated right in the middle of what is know as “winery row.” The Sonoita Arizona Wine Tour boasts of ten different tasting rooms and was selected by USA Today as one of the top ten wine trails in the United States.

The idea to start a vineyard and winery stemmed from a long standing hobby of wine-making and gardening at home. “Kief was making wine in his home in Tempe,” said Jeff Manning, Wine Sales Manager. “The day we tasted his lemon wine, which was made from fruit off a tree in his backyard, I knew he had found his passion.”

In 2002, after the decision was made to open a winery, the house was sold, the property purchased and Kief Manning left Arizona State University, to pursue Viticulture studies in Australia, where he earned both a graduate and undergraduate degree in Viticulture and Enology.

Kief practices traditional wine-making methods of minimal interference, open fermentation and barrel aging. In 2006, Kief eliminated the use of herbicides and pesticides in the vineyard. “We strive for excellence in wine-making and sustainability in our vineyard,” says Kief. “With time, I hope to produce outstanding Arizona wines that demonstrate the intensity, richness and complexity of the area.”

KOKOPELLI WINERY IS BACK!
The Sonoran desert contains many legends, including that of the story-telling Kokopelli and his mystical flute. He was said to travel the rugged desert lands, bringing stories and gifts from afar, a link between the remote communities of the Zuni, Hopi, and Hohokam. The arrival of Kokopelli was celebrated wherever he went.

In keeping with this tradition of celebration, Kokopelli Winery was first established in 1991, and became one of Arizona’s first large-scale wine producers. Today, Kokopelli continues to produce a wide range of varieties that are crafted to satisfy every palate. Kokopelli wines are a southwestern favorite wherever people gather together in friendship, celebration, and relaxation.

Rancho Rossa Vineyards is one of the largest family owned wineries in the Sonoita/Elgin area. We produce about 1100 cases of wine each year from our 24 acres of estate fruit. We are the only winery in the Sonoita Viticultural area that is 100% estate. Meaning we use ONLY the grapes we grow. We specialize in ultra-premium dry varietal wines.

The oldest commercial vineyard and winery in Arizona, Sonoita Vineyards was started in 1974, opened in 1983 and now includes over 50 acres of vines.  Aided by the unique growing conditions of the Sonoita Appellation (AVA – American Viticultural Area), the winery consistently creates award winning wines, including a Cabernet Sauvignon chosen by national wine critics to serve at a Presidential Inauguration Gala.  Perched at an elevation of 5,000 feet among rolling grasslands, the vineyard is surrounded on three sides by soaring mountain ranges.

The staff is small making each vintage of wine a one of a kind experience. The small staff does all the production and vine care under the guidance of Lori Reynolds, our Winemaker and granddaughter to our founder Dr. Gordon Dutt and Robi Reynolds, our Vineyard Manager.

Every bottle of wine is hand bottled, labeled and capped in small batches at less than 2,000 bottles per vintage. Our grapes come no further than the Southeastern Arizona Region with the majority of wines being vinted from estate grapes.
